Spafford, Arizona's sensational jam band is bringing its signature sounds to the Crescent Ballroom!
Spafford was formed in Prescott (Arizona) in 2009 by Brian Moss (guitar and vocals), Jordan Fairless (bass and vocals), Andrew “Red” Johnson (keys and vocals), Cameron Laforest (drums, percussion, and vocals), and Chuck Johnson (lighting designer and lyricist). Their musical style is best described as a blend of rock, funk, jazz, reggae, ska (a genre that - originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s – combines elements of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues, and is characterized by a walking bass line accented with rhythms on the off beat), and electro pop (a fusion of electronic music and pop music - with primary usage of synthesizers and various electronic and pop musical instruments - often with simple, catchy hooks and simple dance beats, but differing from those of electronic dance music genres in that songwriting is emphasized over simple danceability). They've had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 2 live albums, and they've performed with Umphrey's McGee, Particle, Furthur, Widespread Panic, EOTO, the Motet, and many other renowned bands. They've also performed at many events such as Mad Tea Party Jam, Electric Forest, the Peach Music Festival, and the Resonance Music Festival.
