Enter Shikari & Milk Teeth

27th February 2018 - Tuesday 20:00

Sensational post hardcore and punk rock artists Enter Shikari and Milk Teeth are bringing their signature sounds to the Crescent Ballroom!

Enter Shikari was formed in St Albans (Hertfordshire, England) in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Roughton "Rou" Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. They named themselves based on a boat (christened Shikari) that belongs to Rou’s uncle. Their musical style is best described as a blend of post hardcore (a subgenre of hardcore punk music that maintains its aggression and intensity, but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression), experimental rock (a subgenre of rock characterized by improvisational performances, avant-garde influences, odd instrumentation, opaque lyrics, strange compositional structures and rhythms, and an underlying rejection of commercial aspirations), electronic rock, and alternative rock. They’ve had a stellar career with 5 studio albums (4 of which were top 10 hits on the UK Albums chart), 6 live albums, 2 compilation albums, 7 video albums, 8 extended plays, 22 singles, and 33 music videos. The band currently consists of Rou (lead vocals, programming, synthesizer, keyboards, acoustic guitar, rhythm guitar, trumpet, and percussion), Chris (bass, vocals, synthesizer, and percussion), Rob Rolfe (drums, percussion, and backing vocals), and Liam "Rory" Clewlow (lead guitar, vocals, and percussion).
