Colter Wall, Canada's sensational country artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Crescent Ballroom!
Colter Wall was born in Swift Current (Saskatchewan, Canada) in 1995 and is a singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey at the age of 13 by learning the guitar and he was inspired to become a songwriter after listening to Bob Dylan's 1963 single, 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right'. His musical style is best described as a blend of neo traditional country (a sub genre of country music that emphasizes the instrumental background and a traditional country vocal style), contemporary country (a sub genre of country music that primarily draws from classic honky tonk, but also boasts all the advantages of updated production techniques and equipment, proving that pure country music can sound authentic yet modern), and Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, blues, roots rock, R&B, folk, and bluegrass, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound). He cites Townes Van Zandt, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams as some of his influences. He's released 1 studio album, 1 extended play, 1 single, and his music has been featured in television show Dog the Bounty Hunter and in the films Hell or High Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
